SABe TV in talk with Zee Turner for distribution of its channel

SABe TV Ltd is in talks with Zee Turner Pvt Ltd., for entering into an alliance for distribution of its channel. According to company sources, since SABe TV's distribution is currently being handled by its in-house team, it is now looking to be part of a larger bouquet.

According to industry analysts, it would be beneficial for a channel to be part of a bouquet as it was easier to sell the channel to the cable operator.

Currently most of the channels have aligned themselves to some bouquet or the other. Among them are the Star bouquet with eight channels, the Zee-Turner bouquet which has all the Zee channels, besides Cartoon Network, CNN and HBO, Sony bouquet and Modi Entertainment Network.

SABe TV garnered revenues of Rs 58.64 crore for the first nine months of the current fiscal with net profits of Rs 6.33 crore. The company recently acquired a 50 per cent stake in a UK-based free-to-air terrestrial channel MATV Channel 6.
