MATV was launched in 1999 as a terrestrial broadcaster. MATV has started its broadcast through cable networks also from April 2000. It is a Leicestershire-based free to air Asian terrestrial channel. The joint venture plans to expand its reach through cable network in nearby counties — Nottingham, Derby, Coventry, Manchester, Bradford — and London city during the current year.
