SAB rides the ‘Indian Idol’ wave with ‘Takaa Tak’

SAB has planned exclusive peek into the behind-the-scenes activities of ‘Indian Idol’ in its new show – ‘Indian Idol Takaa Tak’ – which will be aired on Tuesdays at the 9.30 pm slot, starting January 10, 2006. For the next few weeks, while ‘Indian Idol’ runs into its final leg on Sony Entertainment Television, ‘Indian Idol Takaa Tak’ will be aired back-to-back after the ‘Indian Idol’ results episode every Tuesday.

Commenting on the launch of the show, Vikas Bahl, Senior Vice-President and Business Head, said, “In the reinvention path of the channel, we are introducing a reality show that captures behind the scenes action of ‘Indian Idol’. This new programme will help us build an emotional connect with millions of Indians. After all, you can’t get better than this at presenting reality television programming”.

The viewers will get to witness behind-the-scenes action – untold secrets, gossip, masti, and drama – in the lives of their favourite contestants on ‘Indian Idol Takaa Tak’. Apart from the latest developments, it will showcase contestants’ take on the judges they hate and love, and their experiences along the journey of making it from rags to riches.

Moreover, the winning team of ‘Indian Idol’s popular judges – Farah Khan, Sonu Nigam and Anu Malik – who have made waves with their constructive criticism, mutual disagreements and funny anecdotes, will shoulder the responsibility of sharing valuable insights on the eliminated contestants on this show.
