Sa Re Ga Ma Pa to unveil star-studded series from June 30

Zee TV’s musical extravaganza Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is gearing up to enthrall the music lovers by promising a star-studded series from June 30.

With one more day to go, the Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 will showcase the on-screen rivalry among four leading music directors of India -- Adesh Shrivastav, Himesh Reshammiya, Ismail Darbar and Jatin Lalit.

The series will begin with the participation of 48 contestants which will eventually come down to 32 and these thirty two contestants will be divided into groups of eight who will then get trained under the four musical stalwarts. So the show will depict these musical maestros enter the battlefield armed with their respective teams in their quest to find the deserving winners.

On the format, Abhijit Saxena, Business Head, Zee TV, said, “The series promises to enthrall the audiences with its unique format.” He also expressed the interest shown by the international broadcasters in the format.

Leading singer, Shaan termed the show as an ‘action-packed thriller,’ while music director, Himesh Reshammiya described it to be a ‘genuine talent show’.

Gajendra Singh, Director of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, which successfully completed ten years, said that since the inception period the effort has always been to promote genuine talent and the new series is a step further in that direction.

The contest which promises to be a tough one will finally zero down to two who will get a chance to sing for a Zee Telefilms movie and will also stand to win a music contract with a leading music company. The name of the company hasn’t been disclosed so far.
