Reddy Brothers to launch Kannada news channel

The Kannada news channel space is seeing lot of action lately and now there is another channel that’s on the anvil to be launched. The politician and miners Reddy Brothers of Bellary have been in the fray to launch their own news and entertainment channel. It is now learnt that the channel in all probability will be called Janasri news and is slated to be launched soon. However, the exact date of launch could not be ascertained.

It may be recalled that in June this year Samaya 24x7 was launched. The channel had long been awaiting its launch and it is the brainchild of industrialist and politician Satish Jarakihole. Some of the other players in the Kannada news category include TV9, Sun TV’s Udaya Varthegalu and Suvarna 24X7.
