Ravina Kohli to head Star News

It’s official now. Ravina Raj Kohli has been appointed as President of Star News. She will spearhead the Star News operations and report directly to Star India''s CEO, Peter Mukherjea. Sameer Nair has been elevated as COO of star India.

Ravina was earlier responsible for setting up Nine Gold on DD Metro and was also Head of Programming and Marketing at Sony Entertainment Television (SET). With these changes it is sure that the contract between Star and NDTV, which ends in April 2003, would not be renewed.

Ravina is expected to join Star in the coming week.
