Rajat Nigam joins Network18 as Group Chief Technology Officer

Rajat Nigam has been appointed Group Chief Technology Officer at Network18 Media & Investments. He will also be responsible for businesses including traditional and new media products.

Prior to joining Network18, Nigam was Senior VP & Head Technology & Broadcast Operations at Times Television Network.
Nigam is an industry veteran with over 23 years of experience of managing all aspects of Television, Radio Broadcast & Satcom systems and infrastructure. His career has been a mix of managing, consulting and operating roles in the field of Television broadcasting ranging from International Sports productions (Olympic & Asian Games, ODI Cricket) to high intensive News broadcasting; designing 24x7 Corporate & Broadcast IT systems, budgeting Satellite communication & Terrestrial links and contributing on Regulatory, Business Process engineering & New Media nuances.

He was conferred with BES 2010 award as recognition of his contribution to Television Industry and was identified as one of the top ten Technologists and among the top 100 important professionals related to Indian Media and Entertainment Industry for the year 2013-14 by Digital Studio magazine (ITP Publication).

Besides the Times Network, Nigam has worked with BAG Films, BECIL, and Doordarshan.
