Raj TV spruces up content line-up with a slew of new shows

Chennai-based Raj TV is strengthening its programme offering with the launch of new primetime shows and give a boost to its viewership. The newly launched shows vary from reality shows to mythological serials, Hollywood movies, interactive games shows, celebrity chat shows, kids shows and talent hunt shows.

Announcing this at a perss meet in Chennai on September 12, Suresh Iyer, CEO, Raj Television Network, said, “Raj TV is going in for a complete programming makeover with contemporary and fresh themes, keeping in mind the varied preferences of our viewers. We want to create programmes that are not only entertainment-oriented, but also socially acceptable. We hope the reformed programming style will appeal to all genre of viewers and successful entertain them.”

The key highlight of the new programming line-up is ‘Kahaani hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki’, produced by Balaji Telefilms and successfully running on 9X. Raj TV will dub this mythological serial in Tamil for its viewers. The serial will be on air on weekdays from Monday to Friday from September 15.

Other newly launched programmes include ‘Top singer’, a talent hunt show for budding singers; ‘Super Star Hunt’, another talent hunt show where winners would get a break in films produced by Raj TV; shows like ‘Parisu Pathaayiram, Nagamma’ and ‘Om Aadi Parasakthi’, among others.

Raj TV officials are positive about attracting more eyeballs and advertisers with this revamped line-up.
