News magazine India Today launched their news channel almost two months ago in order to expand their presence on to television. They were already present on print, digital, social media and mobile but wanted to break into the TV sector with a fresh new look.
Pixel Party – a motion design studio from Delhi led by Kalpit Dwivedi and Sumit Grover was behind the design aspect of the channel. This involved creating the brand’s packaging in its entirety with the help of high-quality commercial CG imaging, animation and VFX.
Talking about the work done, Kalpit Dwivedi Co-Founder and MD, Pixel Party said, “It was a challenge to provide a new and unique look to the channel without giving it an old school touch. A proper solution for the placement of news bytes, editorial space, live feed and other elements was required to make the channel look totally different from the existing news channels in the market. I would also like to thank the management of India Today to give us liberty to showcase our innovative idea to give an aesthetic appreciation to the channel.”
Kalli Purie, Group Editorial Director (Broadcast and New Media), India Today Group, added, “They are an extremely talented and creative team of young graphic designers. They worked in close synergy with our team to create the new on – air broadcast design of our English news channel. They have a real eye for broadcast and I found them exceptional at understanding and embracing the client’s needs, full of fresh ideas and motivated in delivering a quick turn-around on projects. Furthermore, they were easy to work with. They delivered everything we asked for and more. I can’t speak highly enough of their talents as broadcast designers and would recommend them highly”
“The project was very important for Pixel Party, an astute approach was applied, for which our team have worked enthusiastically and came up with great ideas for the channel’s avatar. We are extremely proud of having serviced India Today news channel and we are looking forward for a long term association with the brand,” said Sumit Grover, Director, Pixel Party.
Pixel Party has been working with some of the largest brands in India and abroad from its two offices in Mumbai and Delhi.
