PIO TV, the only new media channel connecting people of Indian origin (PIO) and NRIs worldwide, is telecasting the conventions of Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD) 2009 and Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) 2009 live from Chennai from January 6-9, 2009.

While the GOPIO Convention 2009 is being held on January 6-7, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2009 will be held at the Chennai City Trade Center on January 8-9. PIO TV has been given special rights for the live coverage by the Ministry for Overseas Indian Affairs for the second year in a row.
