Paytm Series India v/s SA series propels DD National to above 60 GRPs in Week 43

Week 43 of TAM data provided another interesting twist in the tale for Hindi GEC genre, at an overall level Hindi GEC witnessed a drop of 19 GRPs. Also top 3 major players like Star Plus, Colors & Zee witnessed a fall in their ratings,  whereas DD National continued its growth even in Week 43.

DD National witnessed the highest growth in the genre by 21 GRPs & the credit of this huge growth can be directly given to the Paytm ODI Series between India & South Africa.

In comparison to the matches in Week 42 i.e. the 1st & 2nd ODI match in the series, this week's matches garnered higher ratings.

 With both matches in Week 43 were touch & go, the same fact is also reflected in the match performances compared to last week's match.

After DD National, Sony SAB witnessed second highest growth in the genre & this growth was majorly driven by Taarak Mehta ka Oolta Chasma.

 Also in Week 43 the season premiere of Amitabh Bachchan starter Aaj ki Raat Hai Zindagi which garnered 1.44 TVR in spite of 4th ODI running in the same time band & which is slightly higher than season premiere of Frahan Akhtar's I Can Do That (which got 1.38 TVR).
