Panorama Television to launch News18Kerala today

Adding another feather to its cap, Panorama Television, which owns and operates 13 regional news channels , 10 under the brand of ETV and three channels under the brand name of News18, is formally launching News18 Kerala from Trivandrum on July 5. The soft launch of this channel was done on April 14, 2016.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will be the chief guest and will launch the channel. Other dignitaries and VVIP's will also attend the grand function in Taj Vivanta. Jagdish Chandra, who is CEO of ETV News Network, will be heading this channel as well.

"Like our all other ETV News channels, News18 Kerala will also be known as ‘Voice of the People’. We shall highlight real issues of the people and shall provide intelligent support to the government in all its developmental works. However, it would be a free, fair and independent channel having its loyalty to viewers," said Jagdish Chandra.

Panorama Television is part of the Network 18 Group, which is owned by Reliance Industries. Ten regional channels of this network are running with brand name ETV and the newly launched three channels are named as News 18 Assam/North East, News 18 Tamil Nadu and News 18 Kerala.
