Hindi news channel P7 News celebrated its first anniversary on March 27, 2010. Launched by Pearls Broadcasting Corporation Pvt Ltd, P7 News’ prime focus is on social and development stories across the country. For the purpose, it has selected Sea Change Video Servers for P7 News. Sea Change International is a leader in video-on-demand, IPTV, broadcast and advertising systems.

P7 news channel has provided an entire spectrum of emotions to its viewers, a value that is well captured in its tagline – ‘Ek Umeed’ (A ray of Hope). After the channel’s success in Delhi, it was launched in Mumbai on September 23, 2009.

Commenting on the completion of a year, Jyoti Narain, Director, P7 News Channel, said, “We began with a vision to present a credible and authentic news channel and our first year has been a great success. In terms of viewership numbers and popularity, P7 News claims to have consistently outdone all news channels that were launched in the similar period. The channel was rated as Mumbai’s most watched Hindi news channel with 14.4 per cent viewership in week 48 (Source: TAM).

Some of its popular programmes include lifestyle show ‘Stylista’; ‘Bindia’, a show for women; ‘Grahon Ki Shatranj’; ‘Batain Zamin Jayadat Ki’, a real estate show; ‘Real Estate’, ‘Kaida Kanoon’ and ‘Speed’.

The channel has also been associated with several events and activities ranging from social cause to sports and entertainment.
