Oppo assigns Rs 25 crore for promotions; ties up with Bigg Boss season 9

Mobile and technology brand Oppo has unveiled its R7 Plus and R7 Lite smart phones. The company is looking at India as an important market and India is their focus in terms of expansion plans. With R7 Plus and Lite, Oppo brings another technology New Flash Shot for its customers. These devices boast metal uni-body and are the latest addition in the OPPO R7 Series of smart phones.

Commenting on the cluttered Indian mobile market, Mike Wang, CEO, Oppo Mobiles India said, “Since our entry into the competitive Indian mobile market in 2014, we have launched devices in India immediately post global launches to offer the best products in the Indian market. With R7 Plus and Lite, we aim to capture a decent market share and expect more than 200% growth in sales by end of this year. Oppo is known worldwide for creating revolutionary products with trendsetting designs and supreme technological innovations. We believe consumers are our inspiration and believe that true innovation transforms technology into important aspect of everyday life.” 

The group has significant plans for promotions. They will use traditional as well as digital media and also form partnerships with some TV reality shows. Last year Oppo was one of the sponsors of one of the famous reality show Bigg Boss and this  year the group is also a  powered by sponsor of season 9 of Bigg Boss.

Will Yang, Branding Director, OPPO said, “We are focusing on entertainment properties in India and trying to apply the same model of branding and promotion in India as we do around the globe.”

He added,” We place different products into different properties and targeting more than two crores on one property. Overall we are spending more than 25 crores on our branding and promotion.”
