Obituary: S.K.Sham, the pilot of sports journalism, passed away

S.K.Sham, the pilot of sports journalism and former President of the Press Club passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011. He was 71 and is survived by his wife, Lata.

Sham was a great sportsman and served as a prolific and respected sports journalist for over four decades at the Free Press Journal, Indian Post and Arab News. He was one of the founding members of the Press Club, Mumbai. He served the Club with dedication and held office-bearership on different positions. He was very fond of the club. Despite rarely visiting the club due to knee operation, Sham always kept track of progress at the club.

He also served as the President of the Sports Journalists Association of India.
