Num TV scales down its operations

Num TV, the Webcasting arm of Pentamedia Graphics Ltd, has drastically scaled down its offerings. Currently, Num TV is Webcasting only a few television channels like Jaya TV, Fortune and TMG besides some in-house content. Initially, the Webcasting outfit was offering about a dozen channels and had drawn up ambitious plans.

According to sources, the company is in talks with channels like Sun TV for a suitable revenue sharing arrangement. Currently the company has 29,000 subscribers paying $12 a month.

According to the market sources, the scaling down of Num TV’s operations is due to a funds crunch at Pentamedia.
