Public broadcaster Doordarshan will soon see global celebrities such as Antonio Bendaras, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Nicole Kidman, and Stevie Wonder make public service announcements on United Nation's Millennium Goals.
The announcements will be made during ‘Chance Of A Lifetime’, a new reality show that premieres on Doordarshan on August 29 at 9 PM. To be aired on Fridays, ‘Chance Of A Lifetime’ is a film making contest amongst a few talented youngsters.
The show is being produced and hosted by Ashok Amritraj, Hollywood director and former tennis star. The show will have seven episodes, with each episode carrying a public service announcement on United Nation's Millennium Goals made by an international celebrity.
The films made by the contestants will be judged by well-known Indian filmmakers such as Santosh Sivan, Nagesh Kukoonor, Anubhav Sinha and Ketan Mehta. After evaluating each movie, one will be selected for final screening in front of UN officials and later on at the Cannes Film Festival.
