Nominees announced for ‘AXN Action Awards’

AXN is back with its recently launched property ‘AXN Action Awards’. This year too, AXN Action Awards will felicitate the talent and effort that goes into creating the best cinematic action in Bollywood. Movies like ‘Don’, ‘Krrish’, ‘Dhoom 2’ and ‘Omkara’ and their stars have been nominated for the awards.

Talking on the renewed partnership of AXN and Thums Up for the second year in a row, to Kashmira Chadha, Director Marketing, Coca-Cola India, said, “Brand Thums Up celebrates the indomitable spirit of an Indian male who is ready to do anything to get his favourite drink. Like Thums Up, action in the Bollywood films too is all about attitude and energy. Our association with AXN Action Awards is in line with the same spirit.”

Sunder Aaron, Country Head, AXN India, said, “The AXN Action Awards was a successful programme and event in its first year. We had an ecstatic viewer and sponsor response. Hence we were excited to make it even bigger in the second year. With AXN’s proposition to offer viewers action, adventure and excitement, it’s a natural fit to honour the best action stars in the Hindi film industry. We’ve had terrific response from the stars themselves, and are excited beyond words that Sameera is going to host the show for us this year. This is the sort of home-grown programming that AXN’s viewers will enjoy most.”

This year, AXN Action Awards has roped in actress Sameera Reddy as the host.

Reaching out across India to all the diehard action fans, AXN and Thums Up will have on-ground activities in 11 cities across the country. At each of the events, on-ground paper ballot voting would be made available, where the fans will receive a form to be filled and vote for their favourite stars, and win some great prizes.

The AXN Action Awards is presented by Thums Up in association with 200 CC Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i, New Chevrolet Spark and Fastrack Eyegear. The media partner is Radio Mirchi and the promotion partners are Cafe Coffee Day and Inox.
