Nimbus loses Superhit Muqabla case against Prasar Bharti

Nimbus Communications has lost its four-year old arbitration against Prasar Bharati in the Superhit Muqabla case. M L Pendse, the sole arbitrator for the case, has directed Nimbus to clear Rs 6.28 crore dues to Prasar Bharati towards the principal.

Nimbus Communications is planning to challenge the arbitrator’s award on or before October 5 this year, when the three-month period from the date of the award expires.

Doordarshan will be eligible to claim the amount of the award after October 5, 2002. Nimbus Communications is the producer of the Superhit Muqabla, a music-based show which was telecast on DD Metro.
