Nikhil Madhok replaces Ajit Thakur as Business Head of Life OK; Sumanta Bose elevated to Business Head of Jalsha channels

Nikhil Madhok has currently been elevated to the role of Business Head of Star India’s second GEC Life OK from the Marketing Head of Star Plus. The broadcaster has also elevated Sumanta Bose to the Business Head of the Bengali channels Star Jalsha and Star Jalsha Cinema from the Marketing head of the same channels earlier.

Madhok will replace Ajit Thakur as the business head of Life OK, who had left the channel in December last year. Madhok in his previous role in Star Plus played key roles in growing the channel’s leadership in the Hindi GEC genre and also was instrumental in the launch of shows such as Satyamev Jayate, Mahabharat and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Bose, on the other hand, has played a significant role in executing strategies that have brought success to both Star Jalsha and Star Jalsha Movies. Sanjay Gupta, COO, Star India in an internal mail according to media reports said that he is confident that they will drive an aggressive growth agenda for their respective businesses.
