New shows boost Star Plus and Zee TV ratings: BARC @ Week 9

The launch episode of Star Plus’ ‘Koi Laut Ke Aya Hai’ on Saturday (February 25) between 9 pm and 9.59 pm garnered 6.2 million impressions. The channel led the urban market with 519 million impressions according to BARC data for week 9 (February 25-March 3).

The début episode of the singing-reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ on Zee TV fetched  10.9 million impressions between 9pm and 10.31 pm. In fact the show was the third-most-watched show in Week 9’s Top 10 Shows in the overall market. The channel Zee TV moved up to the third spot garnering 308 million impressions for the same week.

The premiere of Sonakshi Sinha and John Abraham-starrer ‘Force 2’ aired on Sunday (February 26) on Colors between 12 pm and 2.30 pm brought in 1.4 million impressions. Colors was at the second spot on week 9 with 424 million impressions.

The telecast of the 89th Academy Awards called ‘The Oscars 2017’ on Star Movies (SD+HD) and Star Movies Select HD had a dismal performance managing only 96,000 million impressions between 6.59 am and 10.49 am.
