NDTV rules out sell-off to Adani Group; calls reports false & baseless

NDTV Group has put to rest all rumours and speculations regarding Adani Group buying a huge stake in the Group.

In an official statement issued, NDTV has stated, “All and any reports of the Adani Group looking to acquire a stake in NDTV Ltd are utterly false and entirely baseless. We request all media houses and publications to refrain from publishing any such motivated rumours.”

The growing buzz in the market suggests that Adani Group is interested in buying NDTV and carried a valuation of Rs 600 crore as the current market valuation of NDTV is Rs 529 crore.

Adding to that, it was reported in the media that the broadcaster is asking for Rs 900 crore.

Following Mukesh Ambani taking over the Netowork18 Group on May 29 this year, there have been speculations about NDTV, too, being up for sale.
