NDTV Profit finds a place on the BSE wall

In a coup of sorts, NDTV Profit has gone live on the wall of the Bombay Stock Exchange, the biggest symbol of the Indian capital market. The channel can now be viewed on what is claimed to be India’s largest video screen, called ‘BSE Broadcast’, put up on the BSE wall, marking its presence at the ‘action-point’ of the stock market.

Speaking at unveiling of the ‘first-of-its-kind’ live stock price ticker and video screen on the exterior wall of the Bombay Stock Exchange building, M Damodaran, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), said that the initiative would provide information of the financial world and the analysis made thereof.

He further said that SEBI was looking at ways to regulate stock market related analysis and comments appearing in both the print and electronic media to ensure that general investors were not misguided by vested interests.

BSE Broadcast will beam NDTV Profit live throughout the day to ensure that Dalal Street gets the latest information on the markets. The screen will display up-to-date market information on individual stocks and will help investors to keep track of the latest stock market news. The stock ticker will provide all the BSE indices as well as individual stock quotes.
