NDTV lines up new programming for August with thrust on ‘Profit’

NDTV Network has announced a new programming lineup for its shows across NDTV 24x7, NDTV India and NDTV Profit this August. The new line-up is what NDTV wants to call as ‘enthralling’. The attention of which clearly seems to be on the new channel ‘Profit’.

Raj Nayak, CEO, NDTV Media, said, “NDTV Profit has more of lifestyle and business related shows. It is a channel, which on account of being new, presents us with a lot of opportunity to introduce new shows to bring in a many new programmes. The other two channels – NDTV 24X7 and NDTV India – are stable with established programmes and thus, the opportunity for new programming is slightly limited. More so, the new line-up is very much in line with the network’s cutting edge programming.”

Some of the new shows on Profit include ‘A very Ferrari Summer’, wherein NDTV Profit will transport its viewers to the Italian towns of Maranello, Modena and Turin, to get a glimpse of what makes Italian car brands desirable. It will look at the big brands of Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo – their heritage, their engineering, their design and of course some of their best cars.

The other show premiering on NDTV Profit will be ‘India Innovates’, which will travel across the country discovering hundreds of inventions, all indelibly stamped ‘Made in India’! Each report will portray the mind and milieu of the innovator and showcase the invention, tracing it from the birth of the idea, its realisation and its impact.

‘Good Schools of India’ on NDTV Profit will give viewers an insight into what makes the reputed boarding schools carry the tag of being some of the finest institutions in the country.

‘The Best Hotels of India’ will tour some of the country’s finest hotels, while ‘India’s Youth Unplugged’ will bring out the voices of the future generation and how they feel.

‘Choti si Asha’ – an interview with Asha Bhosale is perhaps the only new show lined-up on NDTV India. And as far as NDTV 24x7 is concerned, the channel will also witness only one new show – ‘Special interviews with Amartya Sen’, which will be simulcast on Profit, too.
