NDTV Imagine’s ‘Say Shaava Shaava’ joins the reality shows bandwagon

Following the bandwagon of reality shows is NDTV Imagine. ‘Say Shaava Shaava’, a singing reality show on the GEC from the NDTV stable, will comprise most of the popular soap stars of the Indian television industry. The show will premiere sometime in January 2008, when the channel is also expected be launched. The series will go on air on a certain Monday in the evening slot, and will be aired consecutively on 11 nights.

Sameer Nair, CEO, NDTV Imagine, said, “This is not only a show, but a celebration to welcome viewers into the world of NDTV Imagine. This is also a way to get into the household of the television viewers.”

‘Say Shaava Shaava’ will have popular television artistes like Aman Verma, Apurva Agnihotri, Divyanka Tripathi, Juhi Parmar, Mouni Roy, Narayani Shastri, Pulkit Samrat and Sumeet Raghvan who would showcase their singing talent. Filmmaker Karan Johar would make his debut as the judge of the show, while television actor Ali Asgar will host the show.

The promotional activities for the show will include both BTL and ATL activities, with special emphasis on outdoors.

“We promised freshness and innovation, and we are delivering on that promise. ‘Say Shaava Shaava’ is an outright entertainer. The contestants are established stars, who will use their talent to impress Karan and the audiences. We are thrilled to have Karan on the show and I am certain that he will bring his own brand of entertainment to his role as judge,” added Nair.
