NDTV Good Times turns one, says ‘Thank you for the Good Times’

Lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times has announced the launch of its anniversary celebration series ‘Thank you for the Good Times’ as it completes a year on September 7. The channel is also coming up with some new shows in this quarter along with new seasons of ‘The Big Fat Indian Wedding’ and ‘Royal Reservation’.

Talking about the channel’s future plans, Shibani Sharma Khanna, Channel Head, NDTV Good Times, said, “A lot has been lined up for this quarter with the forthcoming festive season. We will be doing a new show with Seema Chandra, ‘Fully Fed-up’, which will show six food destinations and what we can pick from the streets and enjoy.”

Khanna further said, “We will be doing fresh seasons for ‘The Big Fat Indian Wedding’ and ‘Royal Reservation’. We are also coming up with two more shows towards the end of this year.”

“NDTV Good Times has experienced an accelerated growth in the past one year, with nearly 40 per cent market share in the genre. We are proud of our team, which has been able to produce high-quality programming and garner great support and appreciation from our viewers. ‘Thank you for the Good Times’ series is an initiative to invite our viewers to come and be a part of their favourite shows. Through this series, we wish to express our gratitude to all our viewers and look forward to providing them with more of such stimulating programmes, entertaining anchors and excitement in the coming years,” Khanna added.

In the week leading up to the anniversary, the ‘Thank you for the Good Times’ series will be loaded with gifts, makeovers, special dinners, free shopping, spa vacations, etc., all on the house for its viewers. On the anniversary day, NDTV Good Times will have a special ‘Classic Stack-Up’ of the best episodes from various shows aired throughout the year from food to fitness, travel to adventure, fashion to luxury and much more.

There will also be a special preview of ‘Good Times Showcase’, a new talk show anchored by well known designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, for the first time on television, in conversation with Malaika Arora Khan. The show is being produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.

The special anniversary shows from the ‘Thank you for the Good Times’ series would be telecast aired from September 1 to 7, daily at 10 pm.
