NDTV 24x7 now available in Europe on WorldTV

NDTV has expanded its presence in Europe with the launch of NDTV 24x7 on GlobeCast’s WorldTV platform, thus making it the only Indian English news channel to be available in the region. The channel would be part of WorldTV’s bouquet of premium quality pay television channels, which are now available across Europe.

WorldTV is a global leader in television and IPTV communications for companies, governments and international organisations. It is headquartered in London and has five overseas offices. This network applies local expertise and international delivery capability for successful campaigns across the world.

Rahul Sood, Head-Distribution and Affiliate Sales, NDTV, said, “With the channel having already established its presence in the UK on BSkyB, fulfilling the growing demand for a quality Indian English news channel in Europe was our priority. Our alliance with WorldTV will now enable viewers across the region to get live news and analyses from the subcontinent’s most popular 24-hour English news channel.”

With this launch in Europe, NDTV’s presence now extends to all the key markets in the world -- the UK, the US, Canada, across the Middle East, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and neighbouring South Asian countries.

David Justin, CEO, GlobeCast Asia, said, “With the addition of NDTV 24x7 in our bouquet for WorldTV Europe, we will be in a position to provide our subscribers premium quality news and current affairs programmes from India in English. We look forward to working closely with NDTV and expanding our relationship in the near future.”
