Miditech's 'The Great Indian Witch-Hunt' wins ShowReal Asia 2 Awards

The Great Indian Witch-Hunt has been declared the winner of ShowReal Asia 2 Awards at an event held in Singapore on April 29. Produced by Miditech for The National Geographic Channel, The Great Indian Witch-Hunt won in the 'Best Film' category. The film will be soon aired globally through National Geographic Channel's network.

ShowReal Asia is collaboration between National Geographic Channels International and the Economic Development Board. The award-winning documentary is a result of a continuing partnership of Miditech Pvt. Ltd. with the National Geographic Channel and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

The Great Indian Witch-Hunt has also won the 30th Rapa Awards in the Best Direction - Documentary category. Another Miditech production winning the Rapa Awards is a lifestyle programme Top Drive Getaway in the Non-Fiction English category. It is a travel programme that has young professionals with a hunger for adventure driving some of the top of the line automobiles that are currently in the Indian market. Top Drive Getaway is currently on air on Star World.

Written and directed by Rakhi Varma, this one-hour documentary follows author and journalist Sohaila Kapoor, who heads out to the tribal region of Jharkhand to investigate a brutal witch-hunt that has just taken place in this region.
