Major GECs lose steam in Week 39; Life OK & SAB TV record gains

As per TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 39 (September 22-28) for CS 4+, HSM markets, all the major GECs saw a fall in viewership. Meanwhile, Sony Entertainment Television slipped back to No. 6 position. The channel was placed in the fourth position in the previous week. On the other hand, Life OK and SAB TV gained viewership in Week 39.

Star Plus recorded gross TVT of 506 million and relative share of 21.75 per cent (535 million TVTs in Week 38 and 22.42 per cent relative share).

Colors stood at No. 2 with 458 million TVTs and relative share of 19.69 per cent (Last week, 480 million TVTs with 20.13 per cent relative share).

Zee TV garnered 384 million TVTs and a relative share of 16.5 per cent (Last week, 414 million TVTs and a relative share of 17.35 per cent).

Life OK was the surprise gainer in Week 39, reclaiming its fourth position by displacing Sony again. The channel recorded a gross TVT of 334 million and a relative share of 14.36 per cent (Last week, 313 million and a relative share of 13.13 per cent).

SAB TV was the other gainer during the week, garnering 332 million TVTs and 14.25 per cent relative share (Last week, 289 million TVTs and 12.14 per cent relative share), and thereby climbed up a notch higher from No. 6 to No. 5 on Week 39.

Sony TV slid to the sixth position again. The channel recorded gross TVTs of 286 million, with a relative share of 12.29 per cent (Last week, 327 million TVTs and a relative share of 13.72 per cent).

Sahara One continues to be at No. 7 with a marginal hike in gross TVT at 27 million and a relative share of 1.15 per cent (Last week, 26 million TVTs and 1.11 per cent relative share).
