Major Gaurav Arya joins Arnab Gowami's Republic as Advisor Defence and Strategy

Well known Army Veteran Major Gaurav Arya has joined Arnab Goswami ‘s Republic as Advisor Defence and Strategy, he joined on March 15  and will be based out of Delhi.

Major (Retd) Gaurav Arya served with the Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army. He writes about the Indian Defence Forces, national security, Pakistan, Kashmir, radical Islam and terrorism and is a passionate advocate of the soldier’s point of view; and is often seen aggressively advocating this view on various TV discussions. He is also a public speaker and travels across the country sensitizing the nation’s citizens about various national security issues that plague the country.

Major Arya is slated to do a show for Republic around Defence and Strategy.

“Gaurav and I know each other for a long time, we believe this country needs, more honest and more direct media, he pulls no punches neither do I, he is a terrific addition to Republic as we head towards the final countdown”  said Arnab Goswami, Founder of Republic

“The story from the point of view of the soldier needs to be told. National security has more than one dimension, and the other dimensions must be explored. The Armed Forces of the Union form a critical component of the national power profile and that is one critical way of looking at our diplomacy. I hope to bring this aspect to the table. I am extremely happy to join #Republic. It is a union of like-minded people who will always put India first,” said Major Gaurav Arya on donning this new role.
