Maharashtra GECs see significant gain in ratings in week 52

In the last week of the year 2014, week 52 (December 21 – 27, 2014), of the regional channel markets saw the Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh channels gain the maximum during the week.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers CS4+ markets, in week 52 of the Bihar and Jharkhand saw Mahuaa Plus decline in its ratings marginally to 1107 GVTs this week from 1139 GVTs in week 51. Big Magic Ganga declined significantly to 663 GVTs in week 52 from 949 GVTs in week 51. Anjan increased in its ratings to 631 GVTs in week 52 from 449 GVTs in week 51. Dabangg UP UTKD Bihar almost doubled its ratings to 439 GVTs in week 52 from 241 GVTs in week 51. Oscar Movies Bhojpuri increased in week 52 to 332 GVTs from 230 GVTs in week 51.

In the West Bengal market the Bengali GEC Star Jalsha declined to 111,222 GVTs in week 52 from 116269 GVTs in week 51. Zee Bangla too saw a dip in its ratings to 88,832 GVTs in week 52 from 91,251 GVTs in week 51. ETV Bangla declined to 24,616 GVTs in week 52 from 29,285 GVTs in week 51. Aakaash increased in its ratings this week to 13,648 GVTs from 10,928 GVTs in week 51. RUPASHI BANGLA also saw an increase in its ratings this week to 1,997 GVTs from 1,861 GVTs last week.

Sun TV in the Tamil Nadu market declined this week to 235,801 GVTs from 242,878 in week 51. Vijay on the other hand saw an increase in its ratings to 76,404 GVTs in week 52 from 72,272 GVTs in week 51. Kalaignar TV saw its ratings increase significantly in week 52 to 23,374 GVTs from 20,066 GVTs in week 51. Raj TV in week 52 saw its ratings marginally drop to 21,024 GVTs from 22,420 GVTs in week 51. Zee Tamil took a tumble in its ratings to 21,022 GVTs this week from 25,847 GVTs in week 51. Jaya TV too saw a big dip in its ratings to 13,390 GVTs in week 52 from 16,892 GVTs in week 51. Mega TV declined this week to 6,056 GVTs from 6,956 GVTs in week 51. Captin TV too declined to 3,202 GVTs in week 52 from 3,940 GVTs in week 51.

In the All Maharashtra market Zee Marathi saw a rise in its ratings to 138,598 GVTs in week 52 from 132,939 GVTs in week 51. Star Pravah too rose in terms of ratings to 58,561 GVTs in week 52 from 56,185 GVTs in week 51. ETV Marathi increased to 52,849 GVTs in week 52 from 50,943 GVTs in week 51. Mi Marathi too saw a marginal increase in its ratings to 11,851 GVTs in week 52 from 11,120 GVTs in week 51.

In the Karnataka market Udaya saw a large rise in its ratings this week to 73,130 GVTs from 53,918 GVTs in week 51. ETV Kannada on the other hand posted a decline to 49,454 GVTs this week from 52,011 GVTs the week earlier. Suvarna declined marginally this week to 46,277 GVTs from 47,118 GVTs in week 51. Zee Kannada too saw its ratings significantly increasing to 36,485 GVTs in week 52 from 28,008 GVTs in week 51. Kasturi on the other hand declined to 7,106 GVTs in week 52 from 8,180 GVTs in week 51.

In the Andhra Pradesh market, MAA saw its ratings significantly rise to 112,125 GVTs in week 52 from 99,221 GVTs in week 51. Gemini too saw a significant increase in its ratings to 99,181 GVTs in week 52 from 91,015 GVTs in week 51. Zee Telugu too saw an increase in its ratings to 98,216 GVTs this week from 94,723 GVTs in week 51. ETV increased marginally to 90,383 GVTs in week 52 from 90,051 GVTs in week 51.

In Kerala, the ratings of all GECs remained the same as last week. Asianet had 50860 GVTs, Surya recorded 12182 GVTS, Asianet Plus was at 3793 GVTS, Kairali had 3063 GVTS while Amrita recorded 2144 GVTS.
