Lakshmi Narasimhan has resigned from his role in Corporate Strategy division at Network18 as per highly placed industry sources.
From January, 2010 to April, 2014, Narasimhan was CEO, Web18 and Mobile18. Between 2008 and 2009, Narasimhan was CEO, Publishing, Infomedia18. Prior to that, he was Head, Business Development, Network18.
Prior to joining Network18, he was the National Director of the Central Trading Group with GroupM (the media arm of WPP). In this capacity, he headed a team that was buying about Rs 2500 crore of TV media and was instrumental in 'streamlining' the media buying process for the agency.
