DTH player DishTV and Kingfisher Airlines have come together to bring live TV entertainment for the first time in the Indian skies. This association signifies the commitment to enhance in-flight entertainment and marks the launch of live TV, 35,000 feet in the sky.
Starting its services two and a half years ago, DishTV marked its presence by revolutionising entertainment even to the remotest areas of the country. DishTV then venture into the seas with mobile dish installations on sailing vessels within the footprint of the satellite. With the alliance with Kingfisher Airlines, it has now taken digital entertainment to the skies. DishTV will empower Kingfisher Airlines’ Fun TV with 16 live channels from its platform. In addition, guests can enjoy 10 channels of chartbusting music from hip-hop to retro to old Hindi melodies on Kingfisher Radio.

The first aircraft empowered by DishTV, complete with the live TV service, will be ready to take off by the end of December 2006.
