Karthik Lakshminarayan resigns as COO of FoodFood

It has been a year since Karthik Lakshminarayan joined FoodFood as Chief Operating Officer. He has now decided to quit. Having joined the company in December 2010, he played a vital role in the launch of FoodFood channel.

The television company Turmeric Vision Pvt. Ltd (TVPL) owned by Sanjeev Kapoor and wife Alyona Kapoor had entered into a joint venture with Malaysia's leading cross-media group Astro.

Lakshminarayan has over 12 years of experience in the field of media planning and buying. Prior to FoodFood, he has worked with Freemantle Media India as Head of Commercial & Business Development and Head of Marketing (India) & Head of International Business (US, UK & Canada) at Sahara One. He has also worked as Head of Business Planning & Strategy at Viacom18.

Talking about the resignation and future assignments, Lakshminarayan said, “I am not sure what would be the last date. We are still working on that. I won’t be able to comment about where I would be joining in the future.”
