Karnataka GECs register decline in ratings in week 7

In week 7 (February 8 – 14, 2015) of the regional channels ratings universe, a majority of the channels in their regions saw a decline in their ratings.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers, in the Bihar & Jharkhand markets Big Magic Ganga saw an increase in its ratings to 1474 GVTs this week from 1327 GVTs in week 6. Mahuaa Plus saw its ratings stand at 1403 GVTs in week 7. Mahuaa on the other hand declined to 654 GVTs in week 7 from 846 GVTs in week 6. Anjan saw its ratings fall this week to 627 GVTs from 688 GVTs last week. Oscar Movies Bhojpuri saw its ratings fall significantly to 226 GVTs from 407 GVTs in week 6.

In the Bengali GEC market Star Jalsha saw its ratings rise to 102,166 GVTs in week 7 from 98,463 GVTs in week 6. Zee Bangla too saw an increase in ratings this week as it rose to 95,472 GVTs from 84,849 GVTs in week 6. ETV Bangla on the other hand witnessed a fall in ratings to 24,057 GVTs in week 7 from 26,476 GVTs in week 6. Aakaash Aath saw its ratings climb to 15,072 GVTs this week from 14,848 GVTS in week 6. Rupashi Bangla marginally declined to 2034 GVTs in week 7 from 2149 GVTs in week 6.

In the Tamil Nadu market, Sun TV recorded a decline in ratings this week as it fell to 212,433 GVTs from 222,062 GVTs in week 6. Vijay on the other hand saw a large rise in ratings as it went to 84,973 GVTs from 66,863 GVTs in week 6. Zee Tamil saw its ratings decline to 22,105 GVTs in week 7 from 23,110 GVTs in week 6. Raj TV saw a slide in its ratings this week to 18,741 GVTs from 19,519 GVTs in week 6. Kalaignar TV too declined to 18,209 GVTs in week 7 from 20,375 GVTs in week 6. Jaya TV’s ratings increased to 16,299 GVTs this week from 13,431 GVTs in week 6. Mega TV declined marginally this week as it recorded 5869 GVTs from 5936 GVTs in week 6. Captain TV saw an increase in its ratings to 3916 GVTs from 3467 GVTs in week 6.

In the Maharashtra market, Zee Marathi marginally increased its ratings to 148,482 GVTs this week from 145,084 GVTs a week earlier. ETV Marathi too increased to 54,258 GVTs in week 7 from 53,789 GVTs in week 6. Star Pravah on the other hand declined to 52,933 GVTs in week 7 from 56,548 GVTs in week 6. Mi Marathi saw a marginal increase in ratings this week to 11,268 GVTs from 11,022 GVTs in week 6.

Udaya in the Karnataka market saw its ratings fall this week to 72,311 GVTs from 76,166 GVTs in week 6. ETV Kannada saw its ratings decline to 55,425 GVTs from 56,757 GVTs in week 6. Suvarna too declined to 43,958 GVTs in week 7 from 44,297 GVTs in week 6. Zee Kannada declined as well to 31,787 GVTs from 33,022 GVTs last week. Kasturi declined to 7955 GVTs in week 7 from 8664 GVTs in week 6.

In the Andhra Pradesh market, Gemini recorded a rise in ratings to 109,721 GVTs in week 7 from 104,070 GVTs in week 6. Maa TV too saw its ratings rise to 101,083 GVTs from 95,127 GVTs in week 6. ETV on the other hand dropped in its ratings to 86,429 GVTs from 92,411 GVTs in week 6. Zee Telugu saw a dip in its ratings to 84,086 GVTs from 86,947 GVTs a week earlier. Vissa saw its ratings fall marginally to 208 GVTs from 241 GVTs a week earlier.

In the Kerala market, Asianet saw its ratings fall marginally to 56,052 GVTs from 56,477 GVTs last week. Mazhavil Manorama saw its ratings rise this week to 15,756 GVTs from 14,305 GVTs in week 6. Surya saw its ratings fall marginally to 15,079 GVTs in week 7 from 15,185 GVTs in week 6. Asianet Plus saw a rise in ratings this week to 6449 GVTs from 5004 GVTs last week. Kairali on the other hand declined to 3969 GVTs from 4487 GVTs a week earlier. Amrita too declined this week to 2263 GVTs from 2660 GVTs in week 6.
