Kannada news channel Samaya TV to launch soon

It is learnt from sources that Karnataka will soon have another 24 x7 Kannada news and current affairs channel, called Samaya TV. Based out of Bangalore, the channel will operate in a space that already has players like Udaya Varthegalu, Suvarna News 24x7 and TV9.

Barring a few positions, hiring for the channel is almost over.

A Facebook page of Samaya TV describes it as: Samaya TV, 24-hour Kannada news and current affairs channel is an Electronic Media Division (EMD) of Satish Sugars Ltd (SSL). Satish Sugars Ltd as a group always had an objective of serving and empowering the society through economic development. Samaya TV is an ambitious attempt in line with the vision of empowering society through education, information & entertainment, and redressal of grievances using the power of media.
