Kannada GECs see ratings spike in week 50

In week 50 (December 7 – December 13, 2014) except for the Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh channels a majority of the other regional channels saw their ratings declining.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers week 50 ratings CS4+, Bihar & Jharkhand channels saw Big Magic Ganga see a dip in its ratings from 1177 GVTs in week 49 (November 30 – December 6, 2014) to 942 GVTs in week 49. Mahuaa Plus this week saw a large decline in the ratings to 925 GVTs in week 50 from 1065 GVTs in week 49. Mahuaa on the other hand saw a large increase this week to 745 GVTs in week 50 from 441 GVTs in week 49. Anjan saw its ratings decline to 601 GVTs this week from 726 GVTs in week 49. Dabangg UP UTKD Bihar too saw an increase in its ratings to 314 GVTs in week 50 from 248 GVTs in week 49.

In All Maharashtra market, Zee Marathi saw an increase in its ratings this week to 135,810 GVTs from 133,704  GVTs last week. Star Pravah saw its ratings increase to 58,638 GVTs this week from 52,717 GVTs in week 49. ETV Marathi also saw its ratings increase marginally to 50,976 GVTs in week 50 from 50,524 GVTs in week 49. Mi Marathi’s ratings declined to 11,922 GVTs in week 50 from 13,383 GVTs in week 49.

In the West Bengal market, Star Jalsha saw its ratings slip to 109,975 GVTs in week 50 from 115,403 GVTs in week 49. Zee Bangla on the other hand increased marginally to 91,917 GVTs in week 50 from 91,645 GVTs in week 49. ETV Bangla decreased marginally from 22,849 GVTs in week 49 to 21,993 GVTs in week 50. Aakaash declined to 12,691 GVTs in week 50 from 13,588 GVTs in week 49. Rupashi Bangla took a decline to 1561 GVTs in week 50 from 1869 GVTs in week 49.

In the Tamil GECs, Sun TV decreased marginally to 243,430 GVTs in week 50 from 246,332 GVTs in week 49. Vijay has seen its ratings increase to 72,630 GVTs in week 50 from 69,329 GVTs in week 49. Polimer too saw its ratings increase to 22,041 GVTs this week from 20,684 GVTs in week 49. Zee Tamil saw a big increase in its ratings to 21,817 GVTs in week 50 from 19,009 GVTs in week 49. Raj TV saw its ratings decline to 19,765 GVTs in week 50 from 20,592 GVTs in week 49. Kalaignar TV saw a slight decline to 19,566 GVTs in week 50 from 20,449 GVTs in week 49. Jaya TV saw big dip to 17,372 GVTs in week 50 from 20,630 GVTs in week 49.

Among the Kannada GECs, Udaya saw its ratings increase to 63,595 GVTs in week 50 from 59,098 GVTs in week 49. ETV Kannada increased to 51,222 GVTs in week 50 from 50,567 GVTs in week 49. Suvarna increased to 43,403 GVTs in week 50 from 40,838 GVTs in week 49. Zee Kannada increased to 34,551 GVTs in week 50 from 30,993 GVTs in week 49. Kasturi saw an increase to 7840 GVTs in week 50 from 6817 GVTs in week 49.

In the Andhra Pradesh market, Gemini saw a decline to 102,921 GVTs in week 50 from 134,276 GVTs in week 49. MAA saw its ratings increase to 102,726 GVTs in week 50 from 98,671 GVTs in week 49. Zee Telugu increased to 98,764 GVTs in week 50 from 94,417 GVTs in week 49. ETV increased to  84,581 GVTs in week 50 from 82,606 GVTs in week 49.

In the Kerala market, Asianet declined to 47,689 GVTs this week from 50,769 GVTs last week. Surya declined this week to 13,544 GVTs from 15,518 GVTs a week earlier. Asianet Plus increased to 4811 GVTs in week 50 from 4577 GVTs in week 49. Kairali declined this week to 3623 GVTs from 3773 GVTs last week. Amrita increased to 2236 GVTs in week 50 from 2036 GVTs in week 49.
