INX Network unveils channel brand identities

INX Network has unveiled the brand identities of its three channels -- the Hindi general entertainment channel 9X, the Hindi music channel 9XM, and the English news channel NewsX. English & Pockett has developed the logos and identities for 9X and 9XM. Red Bee Media, which works extensively with the BBC, has created the NewsX logo.

The logos, which have a graphic relationship to each other, also attempt to convey the distinct personalities of each of the channels. An official communiqué quoted: “9X is dynamic, contemporary and passionate, while the M of 9XM has a youthful and irreverent attitude with the flexibility to change character. Meanwhile, NewsX connotes uncompromising clarity and strength with a unique and modern style.”

English & Pockett is known for developing visual identities for global media, entertainment and sports organisations such as Disney and UEFA Champions League. Red Bee Media is a UK corporate identity agency that has won numerous television awards, including awards for their work for the BBC and Discovery Channel.

Anthony Pettifer, Group Director-Brand and Communications, INX Media, said, “Both English & Pockett and Red Bee Media have succeeded in producing a set of outstanding logos for the channels of INX Media and INX News. Jeff Conrad, Head-Design, Red Bee Media, said, “The logo and on-air identity of NewsX has been designed to stand out from the crowd. The logo and the channel design we are developing is state-of-the-art.”
