France 24, one of the leading 24x7 international news channels of France, is all set to launch in India next week. Sources close to the development informed exchange4media that France 24 is collaborating with one of the leading English news channels in India to showcase its content.

Launched in December 2006, France 24 is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the public-funded holding company France Médias Monde. The channel covers international current events from a French perspective and seeks to convey French values throughout the world.

France 24 is a news hub that broadcasts its programmers over the airwaves and over the internet in French, English and Arabic languages.

France Médias Monde has also signed cooperation agreements with other groups such as France Télévisions, TF1 and GRN to showcase its content.
