IndianOil Asia Cup to go live on ESPN STAR Sports

IndianOil Asia Cup, starting from July 16, would be aired live on ESPN STAR Sports, informed an official release. Keeping its recent commitments to promote Hindi commentary, the broadcaster would telecast last five matches of the tournament simultaneously in Hindi on STAR Sports and in English on ESPN.

The six-nation tournament would be a battleground for India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates. Bolstered by the triumph in Pakistan and Australia, India would begin as the favourite, while the Lankan squad may be rattled with the recent Australian mauling. Despite some ongoing controversies, Team Pakistan has a fair chance to make it to the top. Though Bangladesh, Hong Kong and the UAE could hardly be anticipated as threats, the big three would certainly take things seriously.

However, before the soccer fever shifts from Europe to Latin America, mercury is again on the rise with the willow wizards dressing up for yet another big fight.
