In week 22 (May 28-June 3, 2016)of BARC ratings, the final match of VIVO IPL 2016 live played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad fetched highest impressions during the season. IPL Final 2016 took the viewership up by 7.4 per cent over IPL Final 2015 across All India 1mn+.

The telecast of Prime time with Nagraj Manjule, the Director of the hit Marathi film ‘Sairat’ benefitted the slot of NDTV India. And, the telecast of Speech from PM Narendra Modi during the event ‘Ek Nayi Subha’ proved to be advantageous for the Hindi News genre.

The final match of VIVO IPL 2016 live played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad fetched 44,684 impressions ‘000s,highest impressions during the season. The individual impressions across various channels were- Sony Max (30,440 impressions ‘000s), Sony Six (SD+HD) (10,424 impressions ‘000s) and Sony ESPN (SD+HD) (3,820 impressions ‘000s).

IPL Final 2016 took the viewership up by 7.4 per cent over IPL Final 2015 across All India 1mn+. In IPL 2015 the Final match was played between Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians which had garnered 12,528 impressions ‘000s whereas, this year in 2016, the final match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad fetched 13,459 impressions ‘000s.

The telecast of Prime time with Nagraj Manjule, the Director of the hit Marathi film ‘Sairat’ on NDTV India on Wednesday from (21:00 - 22:00) pm took the viewership up by more than 2.5 times. The previous 4 week’s average of the channel was 51 impressions ‘000s which rose to 173 impressions ‘000s in week 22.

The World Television Premiere of ‘Welcome Back’ on Zee Cinema on Saturday took the (20:00 - 23:19) pm slot up by 2.3 times. The impressions rose to 5,673 impressions ‘000s in week 22 the previous 13 weeks average of which were 2,423 impressions ‘000s.

The Hindi News genre saw a hike of 1.9 times as a result of the telecast of Speech from PM Narendra Modi during the event ‘Ek Nayi Subha’ on Saturday from (22:23 - 23:00)pm. The previous 4 weeks average which were 948 impressions ‘000s rose to 1,771 impressions ‘000s in week 22.

The telecast of ‘Star Parivaar Awards 2016’ on Star Plus on Saturday took the 20:00 - 23:01 slot up by 1.8 times. The impressions of the slot rose to 8,481 impressions in week 22 which were 4,626 impressions ‘000s in the previous 13 weeks.

‘Aap ki Adalat’ with Rajnath Singh on India TV on Saturday took the 22:00 - 23:00slot up by 44 per cent. The previous 4 weeks average of the slot which was 326 impressions ‘000s rose to 468 impressions ‘000s in week 22.

The telecast of Colors’ new show ‘Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ took the Monday,20:00 - 20:36 slot up by 28 per cent. The previous 13 weeks average of the slot which were 5,391 impressions ‘000s rose to 6,875 impressions ‘000s in week 22.
