India TV strengthens its sales team, makes several key appointments

India TV strengthens its sales team, makes several key appointments

India TV has strengthened its sales team in Delhi and Mumbai with some key appointments under Ad Sales President, Kanta Advani. Madhumita Manna Kulkarni and Summet Bhojwani have been appointed VP, Sales.

Kulkarni comes in with 11 years’ experience in sales and marketing at Kodak, JK Ansell and the World Gold Council. She is joining India TV after a short stint with Shri Adhikari Brothers, where she was VP-Sales and Marketing.

Bhojwani has had 12 years’ experience in Ad Sales at Plus channel, CVO and Shri Adhikari Brothers.

Another key person in is Mehtab Shaikh, who joins the channel as Associate Vice-President. Shaikh comes with 12 years’ experience in sales at Zee Telefilms. Prior to joining India TV, she was with Media Scope International, where she was National Sales Manager.

Among others who have been roped in include Raksha Vaidya as Senior Executive Sales, Ruchita Gurav as Sales Coordinator, Neelima Gogvekar as Sales Coordinator for the Mumbai office. Ashutosh Tripathi has joined the Noida team as Manager, Sales, while Rajesh Saxena has been shifted from Kanpur to Noida, also as Manager, Sales.

Commenting on the new appointments, Chinatamani Rao, CEO, India TV, said, “We appointed Kanta Advani a few months ago as the Ad Sales President. It was the beginning of a revamp in our sales team. The new appointments are a logical follow-up to achieve our sales targets.”

Asked about the growth plans of the company, Rao said, “We have plans for horizontal expansion, but nothing has been frozen as yet.”

Speaking about her new sales team, Kanta Advani said, “The newly appointed team comprises hardcore sales professionals and we expect them to deliver for the purpose for which they have been roped in.”
