IMPACT magazine introduces IMPACT M-School Rankings

IMPACT magazine from the exchange4media stable is all set to announce the inaugural IMPACT M-School Rankings powered by Ipsos. In association with Ipsos, IMPACT will conduct the survey of around India’s top 300 M-Schools.

The M-School ranking programme is targeted towards facilitating and guiding aspiring students for future career prospects, facilitating visibility of M-Schools amongst media companies across the spectrum to enable employment for their students and to become a good ranking benchmark for the M-School industry by taking pole position with the inaugural foray.

Elaborating on the initiative, Sunil Lulla, MD & CEO, Times Television Network and Board Member of the News Broadcasters Association stated, “I am delighted that the exchange4mdia Group and Impact have undertaken the task of putting together the roster of the Best M-Schools. With the stupendous growth of Media and Entertainment and the foreseeable growth over the next 10 years, Media and Entertainment Education and Development programmes are in the spotlight. The foundation of the future generations in media will be determined by M-Schools. This will be an encouragement to enhance development of media-related education programmes, and competitiveness will create new ideas and opportunities. The survey to rank various M-Schools is being done basis a scientific method by Ipsos, which broadly encompasses an objective survey, a perceptual survey, Jury to adjudge the ranking findings via the objective & perceptual surveys, an advisory panel to lay the guidelines for the Jury, followed by the launch of rankings and event.

The objective survey is an objective type self-rating survey, in which each of the approximately 300 M-Schools will submit an exhaustive objective survey questionnaire rating themselves on given parameters. The perceptual survey captures what others think of the various M-Schools and aims to restore a critical balance after each college has self-rated itself via the objective survey. An advisory panel comprising a mix of industry seniors will precede the Jury.

The findings of the surveys will be ratified by a Jury of eminence from across industry segments such as journalism – print, electronic, radio and digital (English & Hindi); marketing, PR, OOH, events and media houses, HR heads, educationists, education regulators, head hunters and industry veterans. Sunil Lulla is the Jury Chairperson for this initiative.

The survey will culminate with the publication of a world-class and dedicated special annual – ‘India’s Best M-Schools’ – featuring the results of the survey with details of the top ranking M-Schools covered under the survey. The publication will be distributed among those seeking admissions to M-Schools and to top managements of companies looking to recruit talent from these M-Schools.

The dedicated special annual publication will be released at a glittering mega event in Delhi, combined with a conference on ‘Future of Talent in Advertising, Media & Entertainment Industry’ in June 2013.
