IIFA Awards to be held in Amsterdam on June 11

The IIFA Awards 2005 will be held in Amsterdam on June 11. Samsung has committed itself to sponsorship of the awards for the third successful year.

Ravinder Zutshi, Deputy Managing Director, Samsung India, said, "We are very pleased to be associated with the IIFA Awards for the third consecutive year. The association with cinema and entertainment, which IIFA is synonymous with, is a natural platform for us to strengthen our communication with our consumers."

The Samsung IIFA Awards, celebrating Indian cinema across the globe, will be broadcast across the world by the Star TV network via satellite.

93.5 Red FM is also proud to be associated with IIFA Awards for the third consecutive year. Abraham Thomas, COO, Red FM said, "We are extremely happy to be part of the IIFA Awards once again this year. Red has always been the station of choice for the biggest events and blockbusters for listeners and advertisers. Listeners can look forward to yet another innovative radio broadcast of IIFA this year."

For the first time, IIFA will host the FICCI- IIFA Global Business Forum, which will be a platform for sharing synergies, ideas and new business opportunities between India and Netherlands.

Government officials, policy makers and industry stalwarts from both the nations will address the forum on issues like cinema and entertainment, civil aviation, commerce and industry and tourism.

The star-studded event will showcase some of the best films from Indian Cinema, 'Veer Zaara', 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Kal Ho Na Ho', to name a few. Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 'Parineeta' will be also premiered at the IIFA World Premiere in Amsterdam on June 9.
