According to BARC Data for week 36 (3-9 September, 2016), total TV impressions was up by 1046 million with respect to last 13 weeks’ average. Previous 13 week average stood at 21670 million impressions while in week 36, the ratings rose to 22,716 million impressions. This growth is on account of Average Time Spent and Ganesh Chaturthi holiday on Monday.
Hindi Movies, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada regional genre grew by 9 per cent, 6 per cent, 14 per cent and 6 per cent respectively riding on World Television Premieres, regional news and special events. Hindi movies grew on account of addition of two new channels Zee Anmol Cinema and Movie House.
World Television Premier of ‘Housefull 3’ on Sunday on Star Gold (12:59-15:48) and Star Gold HD(13:00-15:43) improved the viewership by 4 times on SD and 9 times on HD. Theprevious four weeks’ average of Star Gold which were 1,952 impressions ‘000s rose to 7,815 impressions ‘000s while, the ratings of Star Gold HD rose to 201 impressions ‘000s with respect to previous four weeks’ average of 22 impressions’000s.
World Television Premier of ‘Nenu Sailaja [2016 - Satyaraj]’ on Gemini TV on Monday (15:00-17:42) improved the viewership by more than 5 times. The ratings saw a rise upto 8348 impressions ‘000s in week 36 as compared to the previous four weeks’ average ratings of 1270 impressions ‘000s.
Zee Tamil telecasted the World Television Premiere of ‘Sethupathi [2016 – Vijay Sethupathi]’ on Monday (16:32-19:05) which took the slot up by more than 3 times. The average ratings of the slot for the previous four weeks were 850 impressions ‘000s which improved to 2,921 impressions ‘000s in week 36.
The World Television Premier of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ on Sunday on & Pictures (20:29-23:49) and & Pictures HD (20:30-23:10 )improved viewership by more than 2.9 times. The ratings of & Pictures rose to 3,701 in week 36 with respect to previous four weeks’ average of 1,284 impressions’000s while, & Pictures HD fetched 97 impressions ‘000s with respect to previous four weeks’ average of 29 impressions ‘000s.
The launch episode of ‘Sanyukt’ on Zee TV on Tuesday (Tuesday : 19:30 - 20:00) improved viewership of the slot by 39 per cent. The ratings rose to 4,481 impressions ‘000s in week 36 with respect to previous four weeks’ average ratings of 3,215 impressions ‘000s.
