HBO to celebrate festive season with extensive programme line-up

HBO has announced an exciting line-up of films to add flavour to the festive season such as ‘Diwali Buffet’, ‘Superman Fest’, ‘X’mas Special’, ‘Wicked Hour’ and ‘See It First’.

Movie buffs can look forward to a generous helping of superhit movies served up as part of the ‘Diwali Buffet’. The Diwali period will see the channel airing hit movies everyday under five special themes – ‘Let’s Salsa’, ‘Kids Power’, ‘Blockbuster Mania’, ‘Fantastic Portal’ and ‘The Great Comedy Challenge’. November will see HBO airing Superman movies every Monday at 9 pm as part of the Superman Fest – ‘Superman’, ‘Superman 2’ and ‘Lois & Clark: The new adventures of Superman’.

Coming up in December would be an array of premieres and festive themes like ‘C’ for Christmas, wherein top blockbusters would be premiered on television first in South Asia through exclusive licensing deals with four major Hollywood studios – Paramount, Sony Pictures Entertainment (Columbia / TriStar), Universal and Warner Bros.

Elaborating on the festive initiatives, Shruti Bajpai, Country Manager, HBO South Asia, said, “HBO believes in providing quality entertainment to its viewers with the best of international programming and content in the movie genre. We have been bringing the biggest, newest and a great variety of Hollywood offerings to our Indian viewers for the last seven years, and to keep up our promise we bring some of the best tittles in this festive season, especially designed to suit the Indian ‘palate’.”
