HBO debuts its new original series ‘Entourage’ in India

HBO has launched its new series, the Emmy award winning ‘Entourage’ in India. It is a series about the life of an upcoming actor. The channel would air two seasons of ‘Entourage’ in India with 22 episodes. The first two half-hour episodes would premiere back-to-back on July 15 at 10 pm, and subsequent episodes would be aired every Sunday after the 8 pm movie.

“HBO’s endeavour is to provide its audiences the best of international programming and content across genres. The HBO series are renowned for their story lines, technical quality, casting and direction. As with other HBO original series like ‘Sex and the City’ and ‘Band of Brothers’, Entourage’ should do as well in India as it has done in other countries,” said Robert Lyons, Senior VP Programming and Presentation, HBO Asia.

The series revolves around Vince Chase, a young movie star whose career is just taking off. It is a funny, raunchy telling of the temptations of the life of the actor, and offers a peek into the highs and lows of the celebrity life in Hollywood.

“The show will find a ready connect with every young Indian who dares for all success -- for those who dream of making it big in the world of showbiz, need dating or swear on the latest style mantra. It is funny, touching and gripping. Above all, it has great lines, great acting and is great entertainment,” said Shruti Bajpai, Country Manager, HBO Asia.
