GECs in Tamil Nadu, Bihar & Jharkhand and Kerala fare well in week 47

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for week 47 (November 16 – 22, 2014) ratings of regional channels CS4+ showed significant developments.

In the Bihar and Jharkhand market, Big Magic Ganga saw its ratings significantly rising from 991 GVTs in week 46 to 940 GVTs in week 47. Mahuaa gained this week as it brought in ratings of 849 GVTs in week 47 from 697 GVTs in week 46. Mahuaa Plus ratings for the week was 830 GVTs. Anjan saw a significant decline in its ratings to 521 GVTs in week 47 from 672 GVTs in week 46. Dabangg UP UTKD Bihar saw its ratings almost double this week as it increased from 152 GVTs last week to 248 GVTs this week.

In the All Maharashtra market Zee Marathi saw an increase to 149,664 GVTs in week 47 from 143,455 GVTs in week 46, followed by ETV Marathi that gained good ground from 50,409 GVTS in week 46 to 53,181 GVTs in week 47. Star Pravah on the other hand declined to 49,033 GVTs this week from 50,409 GVTs last week. Mi Marathi too saw an increase in its ratings and rose to 13,029 GVTs in week 47 from 12,608 GVTs in week 46.

Bengali GEC Star Jalsha in the West Bengal market declined to 107,748 GVTs in week 47 from 115,238 GVTs in week 46. While Zee Bangla saw a big jump from 78,636 GVTs last week 105,354 GVTs in this week, ETV Bangla increased marginally to 23,445 GVTs in week 47 from 22,960 GVTs in week 46. Aakaash declined during the week to 14,059 GVTs in week 47 from 16,072 GVTs in week 46. Rupashi Bangla increased significantly too to 2,300 GVTS in week 47 from 1,755 GVTs in week 46.

In Tamil Nadu, Sun TV increased to 239,206 GVTs from 230,133 GVTs in week 46. Vijay on the other hand rose to 67,370 GVTs in week 47 from 63,558 GVTs in week 46. Kalaignar TV saw a large increase in its ratings as it increased to 22,478 GVTs in week 47 from 19,993 GVTs in week 46. Polimer increased marginally to 21,888 GVTs in week 47 from 20,822 GVTs in week 46. Raj TV saw a decline this week to 21,435 GVTs from 23,484 GVTs last week. Zee Tamil gained ground as it increased to 19,636 GVTs in week 47 from 17,424 GVTs in week 46. Jaya TV too increased from 14,300 GVTs in week 46 from 16,121 GVTs in week 47.

The Karnataka market saw Kannada GEC Udaya gain significantly as it rose to 72,409 GVTs in week 47 from 68,991 GVTs in week 46. ETV Kannada increased to 54,399 GVTs in week 47 from 51,316 GVTs in week 46. Suvarna however declined from 41,041 GVTs in week 46 to 40,362 GVTs in week 47. Zee Kannada saw a major increase in ratings and rose from 30,339 GVTs in week 46 to 34,901 GVTs. Kasturi declined from 8,712 GVTs last week to 8,236 GVTs this week.

MAA in the Andhra Pradesh market saw a decline in ratings from 109,503 GVTs in week 46 to 106,426 GVTs in week 47. Zee Telugu increased significantly to 98,195 GVTs during this week from 90,729 GVTs in week 46. Gemini declined to 86,601 GVTs in week 47 from 95,293 GVTs in week 46. ETV decreased to 86,296 GVTs this week from 88,972 GVTs in week 46.

Finally, in the Kerala market the Malayalam GEC Asianet increased significantly to 55,706 GVTs in week 47 from 48,912 GVTs in week 46. Surya increased from 13,835 GVTs in week 46 to 14,159 GVTs in week 47. Asianet Plus also increased from 4,189 GVTs in week 46 to 5,594 GVTs in week 47. Kairali declined from 4,496 GVTs in week 46 to 3,419 GVTs in week 47. Amrita increased to 2,493 GVTs in week 47 from 1,755 GVTs in week 46.
