Filmy partners with IBN 7, Big FM for ‘Bollywood Ka Boss’

Hindi news channel IBN 7 and radio station Big FM have been signed on as partners for ‘Bollywood Ka Boss’, the film-based quiz show on Filmy. To be release in early January next year, the show will have actor Boman Irani as the quizmaster, while is it being produced by Siddharth Basu’s Synergy Adlabs Media Ltd.

Shailesh Kapoor, Business Head, Filmy, said, “The show ‘Bollywood Ka Boss’ will capture the enthusiasm of viewers across the country. We've already got a very positive feedback from the trade and the viewers on the concept. Boman as quizmaster, the association with Siddharth Basu and now with IBN 7 and Big FM on board, we're sure to garner a substantial chunk of viewer mindspace in the coming months. The show format is in the last stages of finalisation and we will be launching it with a high decibel marketing campaign in December.”

With these partnerships, Filmy will be rearing its audiences for film-based quizzing through news, views, contests, updates, Bollywood trivia, etc. This partnership will also see a lot of original programming by both the media partners, which will be centred on the concept of the show, the participants, the quizmaster, along with sneak-peeks of what to expect in the coming weeks.

The show has launched the second phase of short-listing the contestants with a nationwide written test. Candidates, who qualified the call for entries selection through SMS, were called for a written test across 16 cities in India. There were a total of 9,000 people who were shortlisted for this test, and the top 250 scorers will now be chosen for the final show.
