ETV to launch 3 news channels in Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Assam today under News18

Adding another feather to it's cap, Panorama Television Pvt Ltd, which owns and operates ten Regional News Channels under the brand of ETV, is launching three new channels today under the News18 brand. Soft launch of these three channels will take place today at 6 pm. 
 
The newly launched channels are named as News 18 Assam/North East, News 18 Tamil Nadu and News 18 Kerala. Jagdish Chandra, CEO ETV News Network,  will launch these three news channels and will also  be heading these three new regional channels.
 
Initially, transmission of all the three channels will be from  Hyderabad studios till elections are over in these states.In the month of June, channels will shift to the respective state capitals and operate from there independently. Inauguration of these channels in the respective state capitals is likely to be done by Chief Ministers of these states in the month of June.
 
"ETV is known as voice of the people in all the states where we operate our channels.Now we are expanding our base deep south and North East also under News18 brand and hope that we would emerge as the most credible player in these regions also", said  Chandra.
 
Panorama Television Pvt Ltd is a part of the Network 18 Group, which is owned by Reliance Industries.
